Our Mission is to be the premier Regional Rugby Union in Australia, providing a sustainable foundation for the development, growth, and future success of Rugby in Queensland Country, and advancing the sport through strong leadership and community
engagement.
OUR MISSION STATEMENT
To foster the growth of Rugby in Queensland Country by promoting inclusivity, equity, and excellence at all levels of the sport, while upholding the highest standards of governance, financial independence, and collaboration with the Queensland Rugby Union.
QUEENSLAND COUNTRY’S OBJECTIVES
(1) To foster Rugby through the promotion of equity and inclusiveness between all levels of the sport.
(2) To develop the Association into the premier regional Rugby Union in Australia.
(3) To build and maintain a sound independent financial base to underwrite the operations, development, growth and future of Rugby in Queensland Country;
(4) To comply fully with and implement any Code of Conduct, Policy, Standard, Law, By-law or condition (howsoever entitled) that has been, or may be, promulgated or approved by IRB, ARU or QRU in relation to any member, Rugby Union or any activity associated therewith.
(5) To organise, manage and regulate Country Rugby in the State of Queensland.
(6) To co-operate as a free and independent entity of the QRU in advancing Rugby in Queensland, and to that end, to affiliate itself to the QRU;
(7) To arrange, manage and regulate all Country Rugby matches played in Queensland Country between:
(a) Queensland Country representative teams and teams representing sections, districts and clubs of other states or nations;
(b) Teams representing sections, districts or clubs in Queensland Country, and teams representing other states, nations, districts or clubs of other states or nations;
(c) Teams representing different districts of Queensland Country.
(8) To be the appellate body in all matters of dispute or misconduct arising from matches played under the control of the Association;
(9) To do all things and to consider and transact all matters which are incidental and necessary to the advancement of the above Objects
